DISNEY'S GRAND FLORIDIAN RESORT & SPA
"VACATION VICTORIAN"
Restaurant / Hotel Design International
March 1989
SCOPE: While under tenure at Intradesign, Inc., served on-site during the final completion phase of Walt Disney World’s flagship resort, directing the placement of public area FF&E across the five-story main building, lobby, surrounding areas, and specialized restaurants. Responsibilities included overseeing the precision installation of extensive console tables, art, and high-value decorative accessories—establishing arrangements that remained unchanged for decades—while coordinating field logistics for custom trompe l'oeil artists executing the dome fresco in Victoria & Albert’s fine dining room and the lobby elevator enclosure. In addition to navigating high-stakes reconfigurations, table relocations, and the field restoration of materials damaged in transit under tight grand-opening deadlines, also managed the final publication photo shoot featured on the cover of Restaurant/Hotel Design International.
