SCOPE: Working with SK & Associates under direct engagement by global Japanese conglomerate Itochu Corporation, Lorrie Bradwell managed the complete FF&E purchasing and procurement for The Greenbrier at West Village Golf Resort—a 120-room luxury boutique resort in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan.
Working alongside firm leadership—who managed principal communications and translation with Itochu—Lorrie spearheaded the hands-on execution of the project. She directed the complete U.S. purchasing and procurement scope to fulfill the vibrant interior vision created by Carleton Varney and Dan Parker.
When site engineers encountered execution challenges with a signature architectural feature—a 148-inch span semi-dome niche cap—Lorrie facilitated a cross-continental solution. She identified and connected the project team with Felber Studios, a premier U.S. manufacturer of glass-reinforced gypsum and ornamental plasterwork, to custom-cast the massive niche cap in the United States. Lorrie then coordinated the complex container packing and freight logistics to ensure the 148-inch niche cap was shipped and delivered intact directly to the job site in Japan along with the rest of the furnishings.
