SCOTTSDALE PRINCESS
"REIGN IN THE DESERT"
Restaurant / Hotel Design International
September 1988
SCOPE: Joined Intradesign’s core team when the firm took over interior design responsibilities mid-stream for the ground-up development of the Scottsdale Princess—executing the sprawling, multi-structure resort within an exceptionally truncated one-year window to meet an unyielding grand opening deadline. Contributed to conceptual design and material selections, specifying color palettes and developing detailed documentation matrices across the entire property, encompassing the main hotel wings as well as the separate village of standalone casitas. Personally identified and resolved critical left- and right-hand orientation requirements for the unique diagonal guestroom footprints, ensuring custom armoires, built-ins, and furnishings were correctly mirrored to accommodate fixed utility chases and opposing wall configurations. Extended on-site residency during the final implementation phase to personally direct the installation across guestrooms, casitas, public spaces, and specialty dining venues (La Hacienda and Marquessa).
